The wheels and tires I asked about earlier... the tires ALL are different! One is a Bridgestone, one is a Yokohama, one is a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and another is a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Now, they do all look to be in good condition... can anyone identify the models of the Yokohama and Bridgestone?

I'm considering offering $200 for all of them still... depending on what you guys think.

I tend not to care as long as they're all the same size tires. If you could get out for $200, I think you'd have a steal as long as curb rash isn't terrible and as long as the tread is as decent as they say.

They are all the same size, and I think they are summer tires too. But I don't really care about that. The guy said I could just Plasti dip the wheels to cover up the curb rash... so I don't know how bad the curb rash is.

Based on the picture he's got, they really don't look bad at all. I think you're getting a good deal for 5 wheels for $200, tires are just icing on the cake.

Four different brands means he could have popped a bunch of others on curbs, which means the wheels might not be true - you have to really hit a curb to pop the tire. And if they're going on an AWD, it's important they all be worn evenly. If the wheels are true, you could replace the tires. I, on the other hand, would pass, but I'm so risk-averse it's ridiculous.

I would check the wheels myself before I made the deal too.

BTW the guy (supposedly) got them in a storage locker auction... so I don't know

Doesn't hurt to try. And he'll probably counteroffer in the middle. So, I guess just figure out how much they're worth and hold your ground if he won't come down. You don't need them so you can afford to wait for a better deal if he doesn't wanna sell them for your price.

Well I will say I'd do it right at 225 :P still a screaming deal. If I need to get new tires though... I don't know where I'd get them or afford them :(

Ebay has surprisingly adequate deals on used tires (have gotten replacements for my Taurus and had zero problems). I found a guy locally who changed it and balanced it for $5 and I think the tire was pretty well under $50 (maybe like $35?)

Check the offset as well, to make sure it's what your car requires. Perhaps the wheels are worth the price, and pitch the tires.

So, 4 Rs6 wheels and then one wheel of an A6 from the look of things. I'd go for it, if you can also afford some good tires to wrap them in. If you have room for a good spare, you could either use the A6 wheel or just sell it to balance out the cost of the rest of the wheels. If you can get it for that price, they are a good deal. All five of them are 5x112 so they should all fit.

I'd just sell the A6 wheel... It wouldn't fit in the spare tire cut out and if I had a flat, I'd just be using the stock spare and just call AAA

Ouch, then that's an actual valid excuse. Hope you find another buyer who will pay even more! But tons of sets of wheels are always popping up.

Also, if you want check out Oewheels.com. They've got cheap, but pretty good quality replica wheels and have a lot of stuff with the 5x112 bolt pattern. They even have that same style of Rs6 wheel.

Yeah! Here's the same style 18 inch wheel in this horrible chrome. It's only $180 for a set of four. That's a pretty good deal! I don't really know about how much shipping costs though, I just don't remember it being that much.

Why do you need other wheels? And craigslist, local car clubs, eBay....I got a set of OEM Z32 wheels with very good tires for $130 through our Z32 group

I think I'm going to get rear tires for my 16s for now

I can probably ask my neighbor to mill a 5x112 to 5x114.3 adapter to test fit some wheels

That would save me like $60 over wobble bolts

But for now I think new wheels are going to have to wait :'(

Yeah, It's probably a good idea to go ahead and save up a little bit before you get a new set of wheels. That way you can get even better wheels for less money :)

It's a good idea, But I don't really trust those wobble bolts. I suggest you just find some 5x112 wheels :)
